Hi friends, I’m Katie.
Welcome, I'm so glad you're here!
I’m a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), mother, wife, friend, forever student, foodie, recovering perfectionist and nature lover. I spent years dealing with many of my own health issues (gas, bloating, heartburn, constipation, diarrhea, chronic pain, acne, brain fog, and fatigue) I thought I was living a healthy lifestyle, doing all the right things, and eating the right foods. I didn’t understand how I could be feeling the way I was. I felt confused, scared, shameful, and defeated – how could I be doing what seemed like all the right things yet I still didn’t feel well despite all my efforts? |
I saw doctors and specialists and was told everything was normal and I looked like the perfect bill of health, except I knew I didn’t feel like that.
I felt lost, misunderstood, and hopeless.
I knew these things I was feeling weren’t normal, so I went on a mission to find answers for myself.
I spent hours, days, weeks, months, and years researching how to feel better.
I started nourishing my body with whole foods and noticed that food can be medicine and I also started integrating some new lifestyle habits and I began noticing differences.
Then I stumbled upon the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA) and that’s when the needle really started to move.
I learned about our digestive system, how our body works as a whole and not one part & how the mind-body are connected.
I learned keys on how to nourish and support the body using the foundations of nutrition, digestion, blood sugar regulation, mineral balance, essential fatty acids, and hydration.
I spent more time outside and I was learning how to manage my stress.
A light-bulb went off & I began to work on myself in the most holistic way possible. I began to work WITH my body, rather than against it.
It’s taken me 20 years to get here, with a lot of blood, sweat and tears.
My journey of discovery continues, but I couldn’t be more thrilled because now I have the opportunity to take others along for the ride and provide the help I wish I had all those years ago.
As a functional nutritionist, mother and someone who spent years trying to figure all of this out on my own, I can’t wait to help you design the healthy life you’ve been dreaming of.
My hope is for women to understand their body, so that they can make educated choices about their health, be empowered & to know that we CAN & DESERVE to feel amazing!
I want to pay it forward and help women who are experiencing unwanted symptoms to regain control of their health and teach them how to nourish their bodies with food and rebuild the foundation for good health.
